Bugiri outing

Robin and I rode to Bugiri to pick up some meds for one of our residents. Bugiri is about 30 minutes away from the VOE. We went to the district hospital there.

We waited about an hour, sitting on these cement benches. Everyone that passes stopped to say hello. We were the only two white people for kilometers!

We noticed a sign, "ART Dispensary". There were probably 50 people waiting for their meds from this desk. We asked one if the workers, it was for HIV/AIDS meds.

Finally we got our meds, after several ore greetings.

Then we asked Joy, the nurse that helped us to recommend a restaurant for lunch. She looks at us and says, "For you people?"
"Yes. "
"Ok, you can go to Gilgal Guest house".
I am thinking, did she just say Gilmore Girls?!?

Nope, Gilgal.

We both ordered rice, chips and fried beef.  It was great!

I then decided to see about taking a  tour to see if it would be a possibility for team. They have nice rooms, wifi, a gym and a sauna( to be honest, a sauna is the LAST thing I would want). But overall it is nice, clean.

Then we took the long way home. A beautiful drive.
