Baby Sumaya came into our life for such a short time but she
has made a huge impact on her community!
Sumaya was only an infant when she died. She suffered from epilepsy, blindness and a
hole in her heart. We tried everything
possible to save her, but God had other plans.
I believe one of those plans was for the Gospel to be shared
at her burial! Her family is
Muslim.
During the month that we tried
to help Sumaya, God worked in the heart of her father. In the end, he asked us to pray for her, to
God not Allah. And, upon her death, he
asked us to conduct a Christian burial service!
This is huge in the Muslim community!
However, the other Muslim family members would not allow the
child to buried in a Christian service.
The father did allow us to preach the Gospel at the burial! An entire community of Muslim men and women
heard the Good News of Jesus Christ! All
because of a sweet, precious baby!
