Muwayo

This is Muwayo. This is the village closest to the VOE. We come here to pick up small items like fruit or vegetables. Today we are here because I forgot to order tomatoes for the resident meals. 

The green hut is a phone and radio repair shop.  On its left us a vegetable stand. On the right you can buy sand or rocks for construction. 

The small stand on the right is selling dried sardines.  The VOE is about two miles down this road. 

There are pedestrians, bikes, motorcycles and trucks. You really have to watch when backing up!  

The yellow building has several walk-in closet size stores selling anything from dry goods to eggs to soap. You can also buy a cold soda here if the power has been on for a few hours. To the left of the building is an alleyway that gas severalore veggetable stands. We buy our stuff there because the ones on the road are more expensive (location?)
